Time: All rehearsals will run 7:45 to 10:15 pm unless otherwise noted.

Location: Most rehearsals will be at Adat Shalom Congregation, 7727 Persimmon Tree Lane, Bethesda, MD 20817. Park in the lot next to the Social Hall. Please bring music stands to these rehearsals. Cellists and basses: bring peg stops to avoid any damage to the floor.

Concerts: All concerts will be at the Cultural Arts Center (CAC) at Montgomery College, 7995 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20910.

COVID-19 Requirements

All players must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and MUST send proof of their vaccination status 48 hours in advance to Spencer Tate, SOTP Personnel Manager and Vice President, via email at Members@SymphonyPotomac.org. Your record will be kept strictly confidential.

​Requests for Exemption from the Vaccination Policy (contact Spencer Tate with your request):

  • Medical Exemption: the individual requesting exemption must submit a note signed by the licensed medical professional overseeing the individual's care stating that the individual cannot safely accept the vaccination.

  • Religious Exemption: the individual requesting exemption must submit a letter stating their objection.

All individuals receiving exemptions from mandatory vaccination must undergo regular testing at their own expense limited to one test per week. Tests should be administered no more than 48 hours before a scheduled service and the results submitted to the personnel manager no later than 1 hour before the scheduled service. PCR tests or FDA-approved home antigen tests are acceptable. When there is more than 1 service scheduled in a seven-day period, we require one test administered prior to the first service.

At this time, masking during rehearsals and concerts is optional, but this policy may be amended in accordance with local regulations or venue policy. String players have the option of using their own stands. If you have any symptoms, please stay home. Your cooperation is appreciated.
